For my second video podcast I interviewed Jan Blanchard of touristr. touristr.com is a site for uploading reviews of holiday destinations. It allows uploading of text, photos and videos as well as rating of destinations.
touristr is currently in private beta but will be launched for general use at Reboot later this week (Thursday June 1st).
By the way, I optimised this file for the video iPod, if anyone views this on an iPod, could you let me know how it looked?

Hi
Nice idea, I’m just not sure how this is anything new when there are quite a few aggregated travel services out there that do this stuff already?

Tom/Jan,
Congrats on the video/vodcast. I like it - the real power of it is evident when you did the demo of the site with Jan.
Touristr’s a very nice site. Simple and clean and lots of social web functionality.
We’re a little biased here at DUBLIN.net but we would agree with Jan in the sense that location might be the next web dimension to be fully explored, esp. in light of Google’s street level views touted for Google Maps.
On a personal note - love the interviews (esp. the startup ones - they tend to be the ones I need on a Monday morning as we face another working week…)
