How do you respond to the whole “authority” debate?
Doesn’t the fact that everyone calls them “technorati tags’ when you’re really just indexing rel=”tag” links give Technorati undue mindshare via a dumbed down understanding of the internet?
In your recent state of the blogosphere report you’ve said that tagging has gone way up, but what percentage of that is categories in certain blog platforms being indexed as tags - and aren’t those pretty different concepts?
What are your plans for GrabPERF?
Who’s going to win the partnership contest, in terms of numbers and influence, Technorati ala Washington Post, or del.icio.us ala PR Newswire, etc.?
Have fun with this one Tom, I’ll be excited to listen!
Oh, and if you like tagging so much, why don’t you offer a javascript applet to create the code for bloggers?
Tom,
My questions:
Do you have a China strategy? What do you foresee there in terms of blogging and blog search?
How did you create the Technorati brand? Feedster just doen’t cut it as a brand, even though their service can be as good.
Why has Google failed so miserably as a blog search engine?
How do you see the future of podcasting?
